We have well-understood rules for behaviour, and a supportive personal and social development programme. This is centred on our whole-school weekly themes which allow us to help children understand what is needed to develop, and contribute to, a caring community.
The Golden Rules are at the heart of all that we do as a school and are constantly referred to with the staff always looking out for examples of good behaviour to praise. Our Golden Rules are:
- We are gentle
- We are kind and helpful
- We listen
- We are honest
- We work hard
- We look after property
We work closely with families as this partnership helps us to work together in the best interests of the child.
Throughout the year we also choose appropriate charities and we raise money through various activities e.g. dressing up. Red Nose Day and Sport Relief are regular events.
We also have in place specific behaviour and anti-bullying policies that guide us in our pastoral care as well as a robust safeguarding and child protection programme.
