Alongside the opportunities available to pupils inside the classroom, there are a broad range of extra-curricular activities for pupils to explore during their breaks and after school.
Each term provides a host of different clubs for pupils across the school. These clubs range from music clubs, covering choir groups, string quartets, music tech club and many more, to sports clubs covering each of the major sports played at the school. Other clubs the Prep School offers include gardening, art, touch typing, dance, cookery, mindfulness, movie, crafts, and science, as well as many other activities, ensuring there are options for pupils whatever their interests may be. There is a Digital Leaders programme, which teaches ICT literacy and encourages digital citizenship. The pupils then cascade this information to their peers and support ICT use in the classroom. Let’s Code is an after-school activity which provides the students with the opportunity to expand a deeper knowledge of coding skills. A new STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths) club has also been formed for girls to inspire more girls to explore the use of computer science within other areas of the curriculum by creating products to solve real world problems.
The Prep School also offers fantastic extra-curricular trips for pupils throughout their time at the School. Highlights across the year include the annual Ski Trip in December, open to all pupils, the Year 7 Ardèche trip, the Year 6 French trip and the Year 4 Hilltop Residential to name just a few.
