For more than 430 years, Wellingborough School has been a place where young people come to discover themselves, challenge their potential, and leave equipped to make a positive difference in the world. From our earliest days, we have always nurtured our pupils’ curiosity while celebrating every individuality, encouraging the growth of their characters alongside academic excellence. Generations of pupils have walked our corridors and been inspired by our community to continue to carry the values of their education into every aspect of their lives.
Throughout our history, Wellingborough has evolved with purpose. Each decade brought its own challenges and opportunities, yet The School’s core mission remained steadfast: to educate young people who are confident, thoughtful, and capable. Today, we honour that legacy while embracing a future full of promise and innovation.
Listening to Our Community
This year marked an important moment of reflection and renewal. At the start of term, we engaged with pupils, staff, parents, and Governors to review and refresh our Purpose, Vision, and Values. The conversations were energising and illuminating, offering perspectives from across our vibrant community. Our Headmaster, Simon Hawkes, describes the process as “refreshing, inspiring, and informative,” capturing perfectly the spirit of collaboration and insight that informed this new chapter.
