Year 6 pupils at Wellingborough School stepped back in time during a fascinating visit to Bletchley Park, the historic home of the World War Two codebreakers. Throughout the day, pupils discovered the remarkable work carried out on the site, which played a vital role in the Allied victory and helped to shape the future of modern computing.
During their visit, pupils also explored the National Museum of Computing, which houses the world’s largest collection of working historic computers. Here, they saw first-hand how technology has evolved, from the pioneering machines of the 1940s through to the advanced digital systems used today.
The trip provided a valuable opportunity to bring both history and computing to life, offering pupils an engaging and memorable learning experience.
