On Wednesday 12th June our Sports Scholars spent the morning at the University of Northampton. After a dynamic warm up, the group completed a range of strength and conditioning exercises including back and goblet squats, calf raises, inverted rows and weighted press ups. They also took part in a range of fitness testing which consisted of hamstring, groin and counter movement jump.

After using the specialist equipment at the University, all ten scholars then took part in a fascinating Sports Psychology talk, which encouraged students to think about why they play sport as well as the values they associate with it.
The trip was a great success, and we would like to thank the University of Northampton for hosting us and our Sports Scholars for another fantastic year of sport.
