Last term in Year 5, the children learned about the life and works of William Shakespeare. They thoroughly enjoyed exploring Shakespearean language, discovering the history of the Globe Theatre, and learning about a wide range of the plays and sonnets he wrote.
The topic concluded with 5CO and 5SA performing to parents and pupils in their own Shakespeare Assemblies. The children showcased a wealth of talent beyond spoken performances, including costume design, Elizabethan dancing, and a variety of piano pieces. Well done, Year 5!
