Yesterday, Year 10 enjoyed a fantastic cultural visit to London, exploring some inspiring artistic and creative destinations. Students spent time at both the National Portrait Gallery and the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, experiencing a wide range of contemporary and historical artworks, before soaking up the vibrant atmosphere of Covent Garden, Chinatown and Carnaby Street. The beautiful weather enabled students to capture the energy, character and architecture of the city through photography as they walked. The trip provided a wealth of ideas and inspiration that will now feed directly into their GCSE Art and Photography coursework, supporting both their Portraits project and the more independently driven Structures project.
