Year 7 Settle into the Senior School

It has been wonderful to see how positively our Year 7 pupils have embraced their first few weeks in Senior School. During our House Assemblies, we have been exploring ways that pupils can support both themselves and one another through this period of change. We have discussed the importance of asking for help when needed, building positive relationships and demonstrating the values that make our school community such a welcoming place to belong.

We have also enjoyed celebrating the many good news stories emerging from both inside and outside school. It has been lovely to see friendships already flourishing, whether within tutor groups, during lessons, or in Fryer’s House, where table tennis has become a popular activity and pupils have been helping one another navigate their new devices and routines.

It was a pleasure to welcome parents to our recent Welcome to Year 7 event, and we are grateful for the support they continue to provide as their children settle into Senior School. We are now looking forward to further opportunities for team building and fun during our trip to Box End on Friday 25 September, which promises to be another fantastic occasion for Year 7 to strengthen friendships and create lasting memories.
