Year 7 Visit Box End Water Park

Last Friday, our Year 7 pupils enjoyed an outstanding day at Box End. The trip provided a wonderful opportunity for pupils to strengthen friendships, build confidence and create lasting memories as they settled further into life at Wellingborough School.

Throughout the day, pupils embraced a range of water-based activities, including paddleboarding, wakeboarding and the exciting Ninja Warrior-style obstacle course. Their enthusiasm and energy were evident from start to finish as they encouraged one another to take on new challenges and step outside their comfort zones. The highlight for many was undoubtedly the inflatable water park. The laughter and excitement around the course were infectious, creating a fantastic atmosphere that captured the spirit of the day.

The most memorable aspect of the trip was watching the pupils interact with one another. It was wonderful to see friendships developing and strengthening throughout the day, with pupils supporting and celebrating each other’s successes. Staff members, along with the two excellent School Prefects who accompanied the trip, William A and Chloe T, were particularly impressed by the encouragement shown between pupils. Whether cheering on a friend attempting wakeboarding or helping a classmate navigate the obstacle course, the kindness and positivity displayed were exceptional. Equally impressive was the resilience demonstrated by so many pupils, who persevered through challenges, picked themselves up after setbacks and continued with determination and good humour.

Our trip was a fantastic success. It reflected the values of teamwork, resilience and community that we strive to foster and provided a wonderful start to the year for our Year 7 cohort.
