A Level Business Students Bring the Classroom to Life

Our Year 12 Business students enjoyed a fun and engaging business trip to Riverside Hub this week, giving them the opportunity to see key business theories brought to life in a real-world setting.

The visit helped students make clear connections between their classroom learning and the realities of running a successful business. Topics such as finance, marketing, price elasticity, capacity, target markets and PESTLE analysis were explored through the lens of a live business environment.

One of the highlights of the trip was hearing from the incredibly inspiring and honest business owner, who gave students a frank, clear and transparent insight into what it really takes to run a business with an annual turnover of £6 million. The discussion provided a valuable opportunity for students to understand both the challenges and rewards of business ownership, as well as the importance of decision-making, resilience and customer focus.

The trip was informative and relevant to the students’ studies, and, of course, there was also time to play and enjoy the experience together.
