On Monday, Year 4 welcomed Mrs Thakrar, a former Wellingborough School parent, who shared her knowledge and experiences of Hindu weddings.
The pupils thoroughly enjoyed learning about the traditions, customs and celebrations that form an important part of Hindu culture. Through Mrs Thakrar’s first-hand experiences, they gained a deeper understanding of how weddings are celebrated within the Hindu faith and the significance behind the ceremonies and practices.
Thanks to Mrs Thakrar’s visit, Year 4 enjoyed learning about a different culture and gained a deeper understanding of Hindu traditions.
