Lego Coding Sparks Creativity in Years 1–3

On Monday, our Year 1–3 pupils took part in an exciting and hands-on Lego coding workshop, where creativity and teamwork were at the heart of the learning experience. Working collaboratively in small groups, the children built their very own robotic cars before bringing them to life through coding. They carefully programmed their creations to follow designated routes, developing problem-solving skills along the way.

The fun didn’t stop there! Pupils then turned their attention to designing and building imaginative fairground rides. Using their growing coding knowledge, they programmed their rides to spin, play music, and light up, creating mini attractions full of movement and colour.

It was wonderful to see such enthusiasm, cooperation, and determination throughout the workshop. The children not only strengthened their coding and technical skills but also built confidence in working as a team, sharing ideas, and overcoming challenges together. A fantastic time was had by all!
