Senior Sports Day 2025

A Day of Unforgettable Moments On and Off the Track

On Monday 30th June, the sun shone brightly over Wellingborough School as our Year 7, 8, 9, and 10 students gathered for our annual sports day. This year’s Sports Day was a fantastic celebration of athleticism, teamwork, and school spirit. Families gathered along the sidelines as each student represented their house with pride. Even with the unusually hot weather, everyone rose to the challenge.

Keeping Cool and Staying Safe

Throughout the day, shaded areas were set up around the field to offer much-needed relief from the sun. These spaces quickly became popular for resting between events and cheering on fellow competitors, helping to maintain the vibrant and supportive atmosphere that defines our Sports Day.

Track and Field Excellence

Students gave their all across a wide range of track and field events. From explosive sprints to the soaring heights of the high jump and the powerful launches of the long jump, the day was filled with thrilling performances. We are proud to announce that several school records were broken this year. This is a true testament to the incredible talent and dedication of our athletes.

Special congratulations go to:

  • Annabel, Luca, and Dylen, who set new records in events introduced this year.
  • Mark, Amelia, and Josh, who broke previous school records.

House Highlights

Special mentions go to Garne’s and Weymouth, who stood out as top performers. The boys’ competition was especially close this year, with only a few points separating the final standings. It was a thrilling finish that kept everyone on edge.
