Wellingborough School Students Celebrate A level Successes
Celebrating A Level Result Success
Today has been a truly special day at Wellingborough School as our outgoing Sixth Form students received their long-awaited A level results. Whether opening their results at home or sharing the moment in our Sixth Form Centre with friends and teachers, the atmosphere has been one of pride and celebration.
With a remarkable 99% pass rate, and more than 35% of grades awarded at A*-A, our students have once again demonstrated the ambition and commitment that define Wellingborough School.
But behind the results are individual stories, representing years of dedication, opening doors to exciting futures, with our students preparing to take up places at universities, apprenticeships, and institutions across the UK, from Exeter to Edinburgh via Oxford, London and Newcastle.
From aspiring Illustrators and Doctors to future Engineers and Sports, the Class of 2025 is ready to make its mark on the world.
As he prepares to take his next step in his career, Andrew Holman spent one of his final days as Headmaster of Wellingborough School celebrating the outstanding achievements of the 2025 A level cohort. Surrounded by proud pupils, staff, and parents, Mr Holman shared his excitement with pupils;
“It has been an absolute pleasure to spend today with these excellent young people, who have worked so hard and deserve every bit of the success that has come to them. As well as their academic accomplishments, they have contributed so much to our community in their time at Wellingborough, and have led the School in the past year with empathy and drive. We wish them the very best for the future, and I know they would wish to join me in thanking the staff here, whose selfless dedication to the welfare and development of our students is second to none.”
His presence on this special day was a fitting tribute to his leadership and the lasting impact he has made on the school community.
None of this success would be possible without the dedication of our teaching staff. Their passion and expertise have guided our pupils every step of the way, enabling them to aim high and achieve their best. Equally we recognise the vital role of parents and families, whose encouragement, revision support, and guidance have helped shape the choices and confidence or our young people.
