Year 6 Residential Trip to Northern France

Year 6 recently travelled to the Château du Broutel near the town of Rue in northern France for their residential trip, and we are reflecting on what was a fantastic experience.

Pupils made the most of every moment, exploring the beach at Boulogne sur Mer, visiting the La Mareis maritime and fishing museum, and discovering how chocolate is made at the Chocolaterie de Beussent Lachelle. They also experienced a very wet morning at the Rue market, visited a local snail farm and a small aquarium, and enjoyed activities back at the centre. A little French was spoken too, mainly with ice cream sellers.

What a brilliant and memorable experience for them all. Thank you to all the parents who dropped pupils off so early, and a special thank you to Mrs Freeman, Mrs Ferguson, and all the staff for making the trip so enjoyable.
